Underfloor Heating
Professional underfloor heating installation delivering efficient, low-temperature heating and consistent, comfortable performance throughout your home.
Underfloor heating can make a Southend-on-Sea renovation or extension feel comfortable, uncluttered and easy to control. It is whether the proposed floor can deliver the required heat, accept the full build-up and remain controllable after the other trades have finished.
Because the proposed work involves bathrooms, glazed rear additions and apartment refurbishment, design responsibility extends beyond the heating product. See our underfloor heating installation overview for the service stages we coordinate.

Flats and managed buildings need a little more planning, but suitable options may still be available. Acoustic layers and neighbours below may also affect the approved construction and working method. You will understand what is proposed, why it suits the property and what the work will involve.
Comfort matters, but so do doors, thresholds and a neat transition into adjoining rooms. Leasehold consent, floor moisture and varied occupancy must be resolved alongside thresholds, doors and adjoining rooms. Our aim is to make the technical decisions straightforward and give you confidence in the finished system.
Room-by-room control lets you heat the spaces you use without treating the whole property in exactly the same way. Bedrooms, open-plan rooms and home offices do not necessarily need heat together, so circuits and thermostats reflect actual use. We explain the choices clearly so you can decide what feels right for your property and plans.
A useful proposal should explain the complete job, giving you a clearer basis for your decision. Cost and duration depend heavily on what lies below the existing finish and when other trades release the floor. The recommendation is then set out clearly, with comfort, practicality and long-term use in mind.
Before you start using the floor, we make sure the system has been checked and explain how to operate it. Controls are demonstrated at handover, with concealed pipe or cable positions recorded for later work. This gives you a considered solution rather than a one-size-fits-all package.

Many tile, stone, engineered timber, laminate, vinyl and carpet products can be compatible. The product temperature limit, adhesive, underlay and combined thermal resistance must follow the relevant manufacturers’ instructions.
Not necessarily. Running cost depends on electricity tariff, heated area, insulation, set temperature and operating hours. Electric systems can be practical for limited rooms, but installation convenience should not be confused with guaranteed energy savings.
Potentially, but only where calculated floor output meets each room’s design heat loss. Fixed furniture, glazing and restrictive finishes reduce active output; supplementary emitters may still be appropriate in some rooms.
Some suspended floors can accept between-joist or over-floor systems. Joist layout, contact plates, insulation, ventilation, access and achievable output need inspection; original boards should not be lifted without an agreed method.
Often, subject to subfloor condition, insulation, doors, stairs and finished-floor height. Low-profile or between-joist systems may help in some buildings, although a heat-loss and output check is still required.
Water systems commonly use room thermostats, actuators and manifold circuits; electric systems use suitable thermostats and floor sensors where required. Schedules should reflect the floor’s response rather than imitate rapid radiator cycling.
